SYLACAUGA, Ala. – When disaster strikes, our community stands ready to help those in need.

Just last week, severe weather swept across the state of Alabama, devastating some communities across the state.

B.B. Comer High School stepped up to the plate to help those in Calhoun County who were affected by the violent storms.

Students, faculty, and members from the community donated various cleaning, hygiene, and hardware items.

On Thursday, staff members from B.B. Comer delivered an equipment trailer full of items to the Ohatchee community to help those in need.

Coach Adam Fossett expressed his gratitude to those who donated.
