SYLACAUGA Ala. – Worried about renewing your vehicle tags? No need to stress, there is still plenty of time.
Talladega Co. opened its facilities today, including the annex in Sylacauga. By 8:00 this morning the line was wrapped around Sylacauga’s county building as people waited to do their errands and renew their vehicle’s registration.
Now, the county is saying there is no need to rush to the annex, just to wait in a line.
“We had people lining up at 6 a.m. at our courthouses and lines are long,” said County Administrator Patricia Lyle. “People can avoid long lines if they don’t all come the first week.”
The Alabama Department of Revenue has extended the registration deadline for March, April and May through June 19 with no penalties, due to COVID-19. Read the Department of Revenue’s extension order below:
