CHILDERSBURG, Ala. – August’s BBQ in Childersburg has been a staple of the local restaurant and entertainment community for the last five years.
Known for its award-winning barbecue, and nights of local music and games, August’s BBQ announced it will close its Childersburg location. August’s opened a Sylacauga location earlier this year.
The restaurant said it has attempted to purchase the building it has operated in for the last five years on Hwy. 280, but a price could not be agreed upon.
Now, August’s will eye a new location in Pell City alongside its Sylacauga restaurant. The majority of the Childersburg location will go towards opening the Pell City location with other assets going to expand the Sylacauga location.
August’s expects Dec. 31 to be the last operational day in its current facility.
