SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Residents of W. Walnut St. will need to start rehearsing their new address.
According to Talladega Co. E911, around 22 homes on the street will have their address corrected after a resident was confused about their address on the street.
Talladega Co. E911 told SylacaugaNews.com someone attempted to verify the address of 117 Legion Ave. but was told it was incorrect. There is a street sign reading Legion Ave. near a driveway.
Due to the error, the address will be changed to 970 W. Walnut St., and in the process, 22 other addresses may have to be corrected in the change’s wake.
Victor Kennedy is the 911 Director in Talladega Co. He said those undergoing a change in address will be notified by Wednesday, Jan. 9.
