PRICEVILLE, Ala. – After a Sunday arrest of three Sylacauga men, the Priceville Police Department reports that yet another Sylacauga man has been arrested in their jursdiction on gun and drug charges, this time on Tuesday evening, April 29.
At approximately 5:30 p.m., Priceville Police conducted a traffic stop on I-65 southbound near the 334 mile marker.
The driver was identified as 50-year-old Christopher Alan Jackson of Sylacauga. As a result of narcotics field investigation, a quantity of methamphetamine and fentanyl mixture, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and a loaded firearm were discovered inside the vehicle.

Upon further investigation, it was determined that Jackson is a convicted felon and is prohibited to possess a firearm due to a qualifying felony conviction for Assault in the First Degree out of Talladega County. Jackson was arrested and transported to the Morgan County Jail without incident.
Jackson was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, Certain Persons Forbidden to Possess a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana in the Second Degree, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
A Morgan County Circuit Judge set Jackson’s bond at $70,000.
