SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The Miss Sylacauga Organization, in partnership with Sylacauga Parks and Recreation, crowned Amelia Tucker as Miss Sylacauga 2025 and Charis McHenry as Miss Sylacauga’s Teen 2025 during the 87th annual Miss Sylacauga Competition held at Sylacauga High School.
Amelia Tucker, of St. Clair County, is a Jacksonville State University graduate.
Along with her title, she earned a $700 scholarship, the Jonathan and Tara Douglas Community Service Scholarship, and several other awards for talent and community service. Her vocal performance of “They Just Keep Moving the Line” from the TV series SMASH won her the Most Talented Beth Yates Fine Arts Council Performing Arts Scholarship.
Charis McHenry, a student at Marbury High School from Autauga County, was crowned Miss Sylacauga’s Teen.
Her dance performance of “Are You Having Any Fun?” by Elaine Stritch helped earn her a scholarship from the Southern Dance and Performing Arts Company.
A total of $31,673 in scholarships was awarded to participants with the competition welcoming contestants from several counties.
Miss Alabama, Abbie Stockard, and former Miss Sylacauga, Lacey Wood, co-emceed the event.
The Miss Sylacauga Organization extends its gratitude to sponsors and supporters, and the next Miss Sylacauga Competition is scheduled for Oct. 4, 2025.
