SYLACAUGA, Ala. – On May 26, the Sylacauga City Schools Board approved extraordinary pay for all full-time employees.
The vote means that each employee will receive $500 for their resiliency during the 2020-21 school year.
Superintendent Dr. Jon Segars said, “It is with great pleasure that we are able to say just a small thank you to those caring for our students. As we embark on our most aggressive summer school plan ever, it is the least we can do for a very special team of professionals. I appreciate our Board’s commitment to our employees.”
