ALEXANDER CITY, Ala. – Alexander City Police Department investigators took two men into custody on Friday, April 3, charged them with two counts of capital murder, and took them to the Tallapoosa County Jail to await a bond hearing in the case of a March 30 double homicide.
22-year-old Markeis Diquon Smart, of Dadeville, and 19-year-old Jordan Hakeim Smart, of Alexander City, were arrested Friday afternoon in connection with the shooting deaths of Fitzgerald Wilson, 19, and Rafiel Riggins, 20, on Monday, March 30.
Both were charged with Capital Murder of Persons in a Vehicle. Markeis Smart was also charged with Sexual Abuse in the First Degree.
