SYLACAUGA, Ala. – This Holiday Season, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is reminding all motorists to drive safely.
ALEA is promoting the initiative through the social media hashtag #ArriveAliveAlabama.
Patrol efforts are being stepped up ahead of the holiday travel period. State Troopers will aggressively enforce speeding, texting while driving, following too closely, driving under the influence and other violations to ensure safety and compliance.
To prevent traffic crashes, injuries and fatalities this busy season, ALEA will assign all available Troopers to patrol roadways between now and midnight Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2019.
Grant funding from the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs (ADECA) and the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) will cover additional Trooper shifts.
Not only will Trooper enforce the law, but they will be available to assist motorists in need.

- Obey speed limits
- Insist everyone in the vehicle buckle up and/or use child restraints
