Alabama’s 16th annual back-to-school sales tax holiday set for this weekend

SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Alabama’s 16th annual back-to-school sales tax holiday is set for July 16-18.

From 12:01 a.m. on July 16 through July 18 at midnight, parents have the opportunity to save money while stocking up on back-to-school necessities.

During this time, the state waives its 4% sales tax on school related supplied valued at less than $50 each and clothing items valued at less than $100 per item.
