That’s why Alabama Power is constantly working to improve its system – and investing in grid technology – so customers have power when they need it. When customers do lose power, the company works hard to get the lights back on quickly, with outage times that average 55% shorter than the national average.
Alabama Power has also recently launched new tools to keep customers informed.
- Customers can sign up for Outage Alerts and receive personalized notifications about their power from a phone or computer. Just text “Enroll” to APCOUT or visit AlabamaPower.com/Alerts.
- Customers can also check the new outage map at OutageMap.AlabamaPower.com where they can report and check the status of an outage.
