BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Southeastern Conference office has released the 2017 Preseason Coaches All-Southeastern Conference Football Team.
The University of Alabama placed a league-leading 15 representatives on the 2017 Preseason Coaches All-Southeastern Conference Football Team.
This marks the 15th consecutive year of the SEC Coaches Preseason All-SEC Team. All 14 SEC schools were represented on the All-SEC team, including eight schools with five or more selections. Nine SEC schools had at least one First-Team All-SEC selection, including a conference-best nine from Alabama.
Coaches were not permitted to vote for their own players.
The SEC begins its 2017 season Thursday, Aug. 31 when Arkansas plays host to Florida A&M in Little Rock on the SEC Network. Auburn will begin its season on Sept. 2 at 6:30 p.m. against Georgia Southern, and Alabama will start off the year against Florida State the same night.
