SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Sylacauga defensive back Malik Pope is this week’s ‘Star Player of the Game” presented by Star Physical Therapy.
The freshman safety has been the most consistent defensive back for the Aggies (5-1) this season.
In Friday’s 13-18 over rival Childersburg, Pope recorded seven tackles (six solo) and hauled in an interception. Pope has multiple interceptions on the season including one returned for a touchdown against Leeds.
Pope and the rest of the Sylacauga defense will take the field again Friday night at Legion Stadium when the Aggies face-off against St. Clair County.
