CHILDERSBURG, Ala. – The Childersburg Kiwanis Club is planning a special event that will benefit children in the community.
The 1st Annual Rubber Duck Race and Family Fun Day will be hosted in June, but the club is already looking for vendors.
The event will be hosted at the Kymulga Grist Mill on June 13 from 10:00-3:00. Vendors interested can contact Kiwanis Club President Janice Grohs at [email protected].
“The Kiwanis Club of Childersburg is excited about our 1st Annual Rubber Duck Race and Family Fun Day. We want to provide an opportunity for families throughout Talladega County and beyond to come out and have fun while enabling us to further help the children of our communities.,” said Grohs. “All proceeds from this event will benefit the children of our communities. Adopt a Duck. Help a Child.”
For just $5 you can adopt a duck to be entered into the race and have a chance to 200 times that if your duck wins the race. Grand Prize is $1,000. The day will also feature a fish fry and other fun activities.
“Our goal is to adopt 2,000 ducks.,” said Grohs.”There is no limit to the number of ducks that can be adopted.
