CHELSEA, Ala. – Armed with a designation as an official entertainment district which allows for open-container privileges within its boundaries, aiming to create a safe, walkable gathering place, Chelsea’s Valley Post is set to open four new eateries from the Pihakis Restaurant Group at the northwest corner of Hwy 280 and Dunnavant Valley Rd.
Rodney Scott’s BBQ and Hero Doughnuts get things started with openings scheduled in the coming week, followed by Mexican restaurant Little Donkey and Italian eatery Luca & Lucy opening the first week of December.
Each restaurant will offer indoor dining and large outdoor patios facing a common green space.
The new 6-acre dining and entertainment complex development has been built where the old Treetop Family Adventure was located.
Chelsea city leaders and developers hope the project’s mix of local restaurant brands, community event space, and walkability will make it a regional draw.
