23 individuals graduate from Leadership Sylacauga program to make up its 33rd class

SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The latest group of leaders from the Sylacauga area graduated from the Leadership Sylacauga program, marking the culmination of nine months of intensive training aimed at improving community engagement and civic leadership.

The graduation ceremony, held at the B. B. Comer Memorial Library on Tuesday, May 14, honored the 23 graduates who completed the curriculum to make up the 33rd Leadership Sylacauga class.

Organized by the Sylacauga Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Sylacauga equips participants with the tools and insights necessary to address different challenges facing the community.

Throughout the program, participants engage in face-to-face discussions with local leaders and institutions, gaining valuable insights into civic and governmental leadership.

Isaac Jennings, Organizational Manager of EARTH, or the East Alabama Rural and Innovation Training Hub, delivered a keynote address emphasizing the importance of adaptable leadership in diverse environments.

Laura Strickland, President and CEO of the Sylacauga Chamber of Commerce, praised the achievements of the class and their commitment to making a positive impact in Sylacauga.
