SYLACAUGA, Ala. – RadioAlabama’s MIX 106.5 & KiX 100.3 are highlighting the Best of the Coosa Valley, our tribute to the region’s finest. It’s up to MIX 106.5 and KiX 100.3 listeners to decide who is the best of the best.
Who tops the list? Listeners and readers will weigh-in by nominating their favorites and then voting on the top three finalists in each category. The winners will be recognized in late April.
RadioAlabama’s second annual “Best of the Coosa Valley” awards are a roadmap to the best businesses, service providers, and community members along the U.S. Highway 280 corridor chosen by the residents and patrons who rely on them.
“We’re grateful to the businesses in our community for and to everyone who voted on the Best of the Coosa Valley last year,” said Michael Brannon, Executive Vice President of RadioAlabama. “The campaign was a monumental success. In our first week this year, we’ve more than doubled the total amount of nominations from last year. The platform helped boost businesses rebounding from the COVID pandemic in 2021. Now, the campaign is in full-swing and we couldn’t be more excited about the response from the community and the surrounding areas.”
Businesses! You’ve poured everything into making your business the best it can be. You know your business is the best in its class. But does everyone else?
HOW IT WORKS:
Listeners will be invited to nominate what they believe to be the best ______ in multiple groups/categories for a period of several weeks. (Round 1: Jan. 24, 2022 – Feb. 11, 2022)
There are eight groups including:
- Arts & Entertainment
- Automotive
- Food & Dining
- Health & Fitness
- Local
- Shopping & Services
- Sports & Recreation
- Pets
Within those groups, there are more than 125 categories including:
- Breakfast
- Sweet Tea
- Winery
- Ice Cream
- Chiropractor
- Internal Medicine
- Wedding Venue
- Community Organizer/Activist
- Car Wash
- Plumbing
- Builder/Construction
- Outdoor Outfitters
- Place to Buy a Used Car
- High School Head Coach
- Pet Groomer
After the nomination window has closed, the top three nominations from each category will move to the next round and voting will take place. (Round 2: March 7, 2022 – March 25, 2022)
Once voting comes to a close, winners will be announced and awarded in late April as the Best in the Coosa Valley for 2022.
One lucky voter will receive a big screen Smart LED TV and a $500 cash prize.
