CHILDERSBURG, Ala. – A 20-year-old resident of Childersburg finds herself behind bars after being apprehended on five counts of Fraudulent Use of a Credit/Debit Card.
Ja’Nayisha A’nette Garrett was arrested on Wednesday, Sept. 13, after allegations were made that Garrett unlawfully used credit cards belonging to two separate victims, both in local Sylacauga businesses and online.
The charge of Fraudulent Use of a Credit/Debit Card is a Class D felony and carries with it the penalty of 366 days to up to five years in prison.
Currently, Garrett is detained at the Talladega County Jail with a $25,000 bond, as set by the Talladega County Circuit Magistrate.
