SYLACAUGA, Ala. – CVMC has continued to test patients who have active symptoms relative to COVID-19 and remain prepared to provide care to any patient testing positively.
As of Tuesday afternoon, 103 COVID-19 tests have been completed at CVMC. One patient is currently hospitalized with a confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis. 11 patients have tested positive for COVID-19.
“Please remember our Emergency Department as well as all other outpatient areas are still open for your healthcare needs. We have implemented safe, various ways to make sure your healthcare is not interrupted during this time. Keep your appointment or if you need medical care, please seek it. CVMC continues to care for patients while strictly adhering to CDC guidelines for those patients who are being tested and/or treated for COVID-19,” the hospital said in a release.
CVMC has implemented deep cleaning protocols in all patient care areas. CVMC team members are actively following meticulous infection control practices including the use of personal protective equipment when necessary.
