SHS Tennis to compete for state title

SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Both Sylacauga varsity girls and boys tennis teams qualified for state at their last meet.

The Lady Aggies claimed a sectional championship title, winning 7 out of the 9 possible courts and placed first with 59 points, beating out Leeds, Jacksonville, Oneonta, and Moody.

The boys team placed runner up at sectionals and will travel to compete at state.

“It was a season of unknowns but we pushed forward and strived to be the best,” said varsity senior Colby Williams.
