Childersburg Rescue Squad has been asked to assist Oxford, Mississippi as a collection point for emergency supplies. They are caught in an ice storm and over 62,000 will be without power for weeks due to the damage.
They are in dire need of the following items:
BLANKETS
CANNED FOOD
MANUAL CAN OPENERS
BOTTLED WATER
SMALL GREEN PROPANE BOTTLES (1-pound)
The Childersburg Rescue Squad building will be open in Childersburg from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. this Monday through Friday, with delivery scheduled for Saturday, February 7, 2026.
