SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Local high school bands are set to perform and compete in front of the public on Tuesday night as the Talladega County Band Directors Association will hold its annual Talladega County Band Exhibition.
Martez Tidwell, the Assistant Band Director for Sylacauga High School, told SylacaugaNews.com the exhibition is a great practice round for local bands as they continue to prepare for the coming competition season.
Tidwell explained judges are present at the event and give critiques to bands as they run through the poutines they plan to use in competition. Sylacauga has its first competition next week.
The Talladega County Band Exhibition will begin at 5 p.m. on Tuesday evening and last until 8 at Legion Stadium in Sylacauga. admission will be $5, and concessions will be available.
Although not in Talladega County, Coosa Central and Central of Clay County will also participate in the exhibition.

Munford – 6:00
Coosa Central – 6:20
Talladega – 6:40

Sylacauga – 7:20
