SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Coosa Valley Medical Center has updated its COVID-19 cases.
CVMC released it has conducted 81 virus tests. All of those have not been resulted at this time. One patient is currently hospitalized at CVMC with a confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis. Six outpatients confirmed positive for COVID-19 have been advised to immediately quarantine at home. Three inpatients that tested positive have been discharged and advised to immediately quarantine at home.
CVMC has implemented deep cleaning protocols in all patient care areas. CVMC team members are actively following meticulous infection control practices including the use of personal protective equipment when necessary.
CVMC has continued to test patients who have active symptoms relative to COVID-19, and remain prepared to provide care to any patient testing positively. CVMC says that the hospital continues to be a safe place for all patients needing care.
The hospital is also asking people to pray twice daily at 1:19. “Beginning immediately, every night at 1:19 a.m. and every day at 1:19 p.m., if you are able to, and choose to do so, we will pause to offer first a prayer of thanksgiving for the opportunity to impact people’s lives. Further, we will pray for God’s peace, replacement of fear with courage and stability around COVID-19.”
Talladega Co. has 38 confirmed cases and one reported death from the virus. Overall, Alabama has nearly 4,000 confirmed cases and 73 confirmed deaths from the illness.
