Winterboro guard Katelyn Brown is this week’s Allen Brew Market Athlete of the Week, and for good reason. Brown is one of the most complete players in the state of Alabama, regardless of classification.
The junior guard is averaging 19 points and 8 assists per game while leading the Lady Bulldogs with poise, toughness, and elite court vision. Whether she is scoring off the dribble, knocking down shots from the perimeter, or creating easy looks for her teammates, Brown controls the pace of the game every time she steps on the floor.
Opposing defenses know where the ball is going, and it still does not matter. Brown consistently finds ways to score and make plays, and her leadership has Winterboro competing at a high level every night.
She is a true floor general and one of the top guards in Alabama.
Last night she was awarded Talladega County Tournament MVP as the Bulldog’s knocked off Childersburg for the 2026 Small School Tournament.
