CHILDERSBURG, Ala. – With the annual Tree Lighting events scheduled for the same day, the Childersburg Council voted to change the Tuesday, December 1, 2026 meeting from 6:00 p.m to 11:00 a.m.
In other New Business:
Resolution 2026-30 was approved to surplus a 1987 International Dump Truck as no longer needed for municipal purposes;
Police Department training approved:
A) Chief Kevin Koss to attend the AACOP Executive Continuing Education Course in Florence on 11/5 & 6, with a $198 registration fee; 2-night lodging, per diem, and use of a City vehicle;
B) Brandon Hughes to attend APOSTC Firearms Instructor Development Course in Florence on 11/18 & 19, with no registration fee, per diem, and use of a City vehicle;
Approval for Johnny Swain to perform road repairs om Dale Lane in Grove Park in the amount of $3,250 from Fund 04 – Gas Tax;
Approval to pay invoices in the amount of $257,047.16.
The next regular meeting of the Childersburg City Council will be held on Tuesday, November 3rd at 6:00 p.m.
