OAK GROVE, Ala. – This Saturday, Sept. 26, the Oak Grove Volunteer Fire Department, the Fayetteville Fire Department, and the Lay Lake Volunteer Fire Department, along with other community volunteers, will be stationed at various intersections throughout the South Talladega County area for a Boot Drive fundraiser.
Funds raised during the event will go toward helping a local First Responder and mother cover her medical expenses.
The Oak Grove Volunteer Fire Department is asking community members who are able to give to consider donating to support Deanna, a local mother and First Responder in need of assistance.
The Oak Grove VFD will be stationed at the intersection of Old Sylacauga Hwy and Alabama Ave. near the Walco Handy Mart on Saturday.
