TALLADEGA COUNTY, Ala. – Here’s last week’s results for B.B. Comer, Childersburg, Fayetteville, and Sylacauga on the gridiron:
SYLACAUGA – The Sylacauga Aggies hit a tough stretch in the second half last Friday as the Alexandria Valley Cubs pulled away and defeated Chris Smelley’s bunch by a score of 47-21. The Aggies are now 2-3 on the season and 0-3 in the region. Sylacauga is off this Friday.
FAYETTEVILLE – Coach John Limbaugh’s Wolves whipped up on Notasulga, 41-6, to go 2-2 on the year and 2-0 in the region. This Friday, they will play at Legion Stadium versus B.B. Comer.
B.B. COMER – Coach Adam Fossett’s Tigers lost again to Coosa Central, 54-18, to go 0-5 on the season and 0-3 in region play. This Friday, the Tigers will host the Fayetteville Wolves.
CHILDERSBURG – Despite many stoppages of play, Coach Matt Zedaker’s felines still played hard and pulled out the belt on the Weaver Bearcats, 54-15. Childersburg is 5-0 for the first time in 65 years and they are 3-0 in the region. The Cats are idle this Friday.
