Childersburg Council updates the Public Records Request Policy & Request Form

CHILDERSBURG, Ala. – The Childersburg Council approved Resolution 2026-27 which amends the 2012 Public Records Request Policy and Request Form. The resolution combines the documents, which asks for specific public records or information, along with the purpose of the examination, and copy of a valid Alabama Drivers License or State ID.

The policy also notes the amount of time available for a limited City Hall staff, and assigns fees for estimated research times at $30 per hour or $7.50 per quarter hour. There remains a small fee for printed or electronic copy transmission and mailing, all paid in advance.

Resolution 2026-28 gives approval to surplus a 1991 International Truck no longer needed for municipal purposes.

The Parks and Recreation Department was approved to hire Carlie Thornton as a part-time temporary front desk clerk at a rate of $8.50 per hour.

Approval was given to hire Toni Bush as a full-time permanent transportation driver at a rate of $12.00 per hour.

The Council approved payment of invoices in the amount of $105,665.80.

The next regular meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, September 15th at 11:00 a.m., following a 10:30 work session.
