SYLACAUGA, ALA. – The Maxye Veazey Senior Center’s “Senior Extravaganza” attracted a large crowd of visitors from senior groups across the region, including two groups from Sylacauga, as well as attendees from Childersburg, Oak Grove, Talladega Springs, several communities in Coosa County, and numerous individual participants.
With the theme “Living Life in Full Color,” attendees embraced the occasion with brightly colored attire, filling the gymnasium at the J. Craig Smith Community Center in Sylacauga with a vibrant display of color throughout the day’s activities.
Baila Fitness kicked off the Color Party celebration, getting participants energized and active. While mingling throughout the event, attendees also had the opportunity to visit with senior resource vendors. Activities included Bingo with Cici and color rally performances led by Dana Hale before lunch was served.
During the afternoon Senior Spotlights program, several outstanding seniors were recognized for their contributions to the community. The event concluded on a festive note with the Rainbow Ride.
Overall, the Senior Extravaganza provided a day filled with fun, entertainment, and valuable information for area seniors, highlighting the Maxye Veazey Senior Center’s commitment to serving the community.
