TALLADEGA, Ala. – A Talladega man has been charged after authorities said he repeatedly shot at surveillance cameras owned by the Talladega County Commission.
According to investigators, 36-year-old Colton Dorough is accused of firing a weapon at multiple Flock safety cameras on several occasions between June and July 2026, causing damage to the equipment.
Dorough faces six counts of criminal mischief and one count of destroying cable property in connection with the incidents.
Authorities arrested Dorough on Wednesday, July 29. Jail records show he remains in custody at the Talladega County Jail with bond set at $200,000.
The investigation alleges the shootings occurred over a period of several weeks, resulting in damage to cameras installed by the county. Additional details about the incidents have not been released.
