CHILDERSBURG, Ala. – The Childersburg City Council approved four resolutions related to ambulance and garbage collection services during its meeting on Tuesday, July 21.
Resolution 2026-18 approved an agreement with Ambulance Medical Billing (AMB) to administer billing services for the city’s ambulance service. Resolution 2026-19 approved an agreement with Credit Bureau Systems Inc. to provide ambulance collection services. Both resolutions authorize Mayor Ken Wesson or his designee to execute the necessary documents.
The council also approved Resolution 2026-20, extending an agreement with GFL Solid Waste Southeast to provide sanitation, waste collection, and disposal services for the city. Resolution 2026-21 approved an agreement with the Childersburg Water and Gas Board to provide administrative and billing services related to GFL waste collection. Both resolutions authorize Mayor Wesson or his designee to execute the necessary documents.
Under the agreements, the monthly rate will be $26.04 for one waste container, with an additional container available for $7 per month.
Council members approved a one-year subscription to Fortinet Premium for IT firewall services at a cost of $585.23. The expense will be paid from Fund 8, the Alabama Trust Fund.
The council also approved advertising with RadioAlabama for campaigns promoting the Childersburg community, local events, and sports. The cost of the campaign is $2,820 and will be paid from Fund 23, the Local Recovery Act Fund.
Payment of invoices totaling $240,478.42 was also approved.
The council’s next regular meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 4, at 6:00 p.m. A work session will precede the meeting at 5:30 p.m.
