SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Registration is underway for Sylacauga Parks and Recreation’s fall youth sports programs, with athletes and families encouraged to sign up before the Saturday, Aug. 1 deadline.
Programs available this fall include flag football, soccer, tackle football, girls volleyball, and cheerleading. Registration is open now through Aug. 1 for all sports except cheerleading, which has an earlier registration deadline of Friday, July 17.
Flag football is available for children ages 7-12 and soccer is open to participants ages 3-16. Tackle football is offered for ages 9-12, while cheerleading is available for ages 6-12. Girls volleyball is open to students in third through eighth grades.
The registration fee is $100 for cheerleading and tackle football. The cost for flag football, soccer, and girls volleyball is $75.
Residents can register online at sylacauga.recdesk.com. Registration assistance is also available at the J. Craig Smith Community Center during normal business hours.
