TALLADEGA, Ala. – The Talladega County Extension Office is inviting area youth to participate in its Summer Day Camp program, offering hands-on educational activities, recreation, and learning opportunities throughout June.
The camp is open to children ages eight and older and will be held in two Monday through Thursday sessions: June 15-18 and June 22-25. Daily activities will take place from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Talladega County Extension Office, located at 132 N Court St. in Talladega.
Camp organizers say participants will enjoy a variety of engaging experiences, including arts and crafts, gardening, drones, safety education, cooking, STEM activities, and physical fitness through the camp’s “Just Move” program. A special Lemonade Day theme also will be featured during the sessions.
The cost is $10 per day, with a discounted rate of $50 available for those registering for all eight days. Registration fees include hands-on learning opportunities, games and activities, snacks, and the chance to build new friendships in a safe and educational environment.
