CHILDERSBURG, Ala. – The 50-State US250 Tour, bringing a mix of history and entertainment to Childersburg continues on Sunday, April 12th.

The national tour, which aims to commemorate the nation’s 250th anniversary, features events in all 50 states highlighting history, art, music, and civic engagement.

In downtown Childersburg, the tour’s “Freedom Village” will again be active in the First Baptist Church parking lot from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday. The free actibities include live entertainment on a local stage, historical reenactments, vendor booths, children’s activities, and food options.

“The point of the tour is to reignite a sense of patriotism for the nation’s first 250 years,” said organizer Tony Griffith. “It’s a totally nonpartisan event for friends and neighbors to enjoy, hopefully reaching the younger generation, with a goal of inspiring patriotism and connecting communities.”

The Sunday events include a morning worship service at First Baptist Church.
