Education & support series for diabetics starts this week from the Extension Service

TALLADEGA, Ala. – With diabetes reported at epidemic levels across the country, the Talladega County office of the Alabama Extension Service is addressing the problem, putting together a free education and support series of programs for individuals diagnosed with either Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes.

Weekly classes start March 12, 2026! Make sure you are signed up by contacting Nutrition & Health Extension Agent Regina Meadows at 334-752-2817, or you can call the extension office at 256-362-6187.

Learn to manage your diabetes with diet, regular physical activity, medication and medical monitoring, healthy problem solving and more tools at your disposal. Eight classes, over a sixteen-week period, will alternate between educational sessions and important activities.
