CHILDERSBURG, Ala. – A lot of citizens have made it a habit to attend Childersburg City Council meetings regularly, just to simply stay involved and informed. With the new year, however, there’s a change coming to that regular meeting schedule.

Beginning in January, one of the Childersburg City Council’s regular monthly meetings will change the meeting time. Several months ago, the meetings moved from City Hall to the new Judicial/Police Complex at 34011 US Hwy 280.

Meetings will continue to be held on the first and third Tuesdays of the month. The first meeting will still be held at 6:00 p.m., after a work session at 5:30 p.m.

The change from Ordinance #1152 moves the second regular meeting – formerly held on the third Thursday – to a 10:30 a.m. work session and an 11:00 a.m. start to the regular meeting.
