SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The Sylacauga Chamber of Commerce has named Kimm Wright the 2025 Sylacauga Area Woman of the Year. Wright received the honor on Friday, Oct. 24, during the Chamber’s sixth annual ConnectHER Women’s Conference at the J. Craig Smith Community Center.
The event was presented by Coosa Valley Medical Center, with the award sponsored by Nemak.
Each year, the Chamber recognizes a local woman who demonstrates exceptional leadership, volunteerism, and commitment to improving the community. A non-local panel of judges reviews nominations and selects the recipient based on impact, service, and involvement.
The Chamber received a record 56 nominees and 188 total submissions this year. Wright, who serves as Chief Administrative Officer of Total Outdoor Plant Solutions and co-owner of the Pinhoti Outdoor Center, was surprised with the award at the close of the conference, where her family joined her for the presentation.
Wright is active in several community and outdoor recreation initiatives. She is Vice President of the Alabama Hiking Trail Society, serves on the board of the Alabama Pinhoti Trail Association, and is Executive Director of the Pinhoti Experience Foundation, where she helped launch Pinhoti Fest in 2023. A past President of the Sylacauga Chamber of Commerce, she continues to promote local tourism and outdoor recreation through her business, which supports hikers from around the world.
Wright joins past recipients Sondra Epperson (2021), Priscilla Cleveland (2022), Dr. Tara Douglas (2023) and Dr. Michele Eller (2024).
