South Talladega County football recap for Oct. 9-10

TALLADEGA COUNTY, Ala. – Here’s last week’s results for B.B. Comer, Childersburg, Fayetteville, and Sylacauga on the gridiron:

SYLACAUGA – The Aggies made a big comeback, and this time it stuck as Chris Smelley went for two in overtime and got it to win over the Marbury Bulldogs, 36-35, to improve their record to 4-4. The Aggies have a much needed week off.

FAYETTEVILLE – John Limbaugh’s Wolves captured their second region win in as many weeks and punched their ticket to the playoffs by defeating the Victory Christian Lions, 30-12. Fayetteville returns home this Thursday for a big region game with the Woodland Bobcats.

CHILDERSBURG – The Tigers showed life that hadn’t been there this season and took the lead twice before giving out of gas and falling to Beulah, 40-22. Matt Zedaker’s team just can’t find to victory and stay winless on the year. The Tigers are on the road Friday for another region matchup with Randolph County.

B.B. COMER – Adam Fossett’s Tigers fell behind in a big way to Randolph County and lost by a score of 56-12. The Tigers are now 1-6 on the season as they head to Dadeville this Friday night.
