SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The Alabama Humanities Alliance will bring the Smithsonian traveling exhibit to Sylacauga as the first of six stops in Alabama. It will appear at the Isabel Anderson Comer Museum and Arts Center from June 20 to July 21.
There will be an opening reception held the evening of Thursday, June 26.
The “Spark! Places of Innovation” exhibit explores the places, people, and circumstances that ignite innovation and invention in rural communities across the United States. Host communities will showcase local programming to complement the exhibit.
The Alabama Humanities Alliance will also host a grants workshop in each host community, sharing how local non-profits can apply for Alliance funding to support humanities-rich public programs in their communities.
