CHILDERSBURG, Ala. – The pickleball rage started in Childersburg with a small group of men, playing a few times a week in the gymnasium of the Limbaugh Community Center. It has caught on so much that the Parks and Recreation Department is working on new outdoor courts for the sport.
Crews were out this past week at the B.J. Meeks Park laying down the surface of a new set of courts that will be used exclusively for pickleball enthusiasts. They’ve even organized a Fall Pickleball League.

In the meantime, pickleball is played Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday evenings from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
