SYLACAUGA, Ala. – COVID-19 numbers are slowly decreasing in the state of Alabama .
According to the Alabama Department of Public Health’s COVID-19 risk indicator, there is a low amount of COVID-19 activity in Talladega County placing it in the ‘green’ category.
Talladega County is currently reporting 6,523 positive COVID-19 cases. A total of 717 cases have been confirmed just in the last two weeks. Talladega County has reported a total of 112 deaths due to COVID-19.
The state of Alabama alone is currently reporting 443,009 positive COVID-19 cases. Alabama has recorded 6,662 deaths due to COVID-19.
There are currently 40,514 total hospitalizations across the state, placing hospitals across the state on critical diversion.
Alabama is under a mask ordinance until March 5 to help slow the spread of the virus.
Remember to wash your hands, properly wear masks in public, keep your hands away from your face, and continue to practice six-feet social distancing.
