Childersburg City Council meeting – Jan. 19, 2021

CHILDERSBURG, Ala. – The Childersburg City Council met on Monday, Jan. 19 at 6:00 p.m. with the following agenda of items for action:

The Council voted to approve a job status change for Firefighter Jeffrey Whitfield to part-time permanent status with no change in his pay rate.

Also approved was a personnel matter whereby all part-time permanent employees will accrue leave time based on hours worked.

The Council approved Yarnell Construction to complete fence repairs at Garland Justice Field for the upcoming baseball season at a cost not to exceed $2,500.

Approval was given to a “My Hometown” ad from The Daily Home for $192 for a 2-column by 8-inch advertisement.

Payment was approved for invoices in the amount of $266,719.50.

The next regular meeting of the Council will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 2.
