CHILDERSBURG, Ala. – The Childersburg City Council met on Monday, Nov. 17, 2020, at 6:00 p.m. with the following agenda of items for action:
The Council voted to approve Skelton Heating & Air to install a 7 1/2-ton Trane unit at the Limbaugh Community Center at a low bid cost of $10,250.
Also approved were personnel matters for the Street & Sanitation Department. Eddie Strickland was hired as a part-time temporary CDL driver/operator, and approval was given to hire a pair of part-time, temporary maintenance laborers.
The Council approved sponsorship of a professional float in the 2020 Childersburg Christmas Parade, to be held on Thursday, Dec. 17 at 6:00 p.m.
Payment was approved for invoices in the amount of $271,635.52.
The next regular meeting of the Council will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2020.
