SYLACAUGA, Ala. – A new term began tonight for Sylacauga City Council members and Sylacauga’s mayor.

Judge Barry Vaughn swore the five city council people into office, two for their very first time – District 3 Councilman Nate Brewer and District 5 Councilwoman Laura Heath.

District 4 Councilman Lee Perryman was voted president of the council. District 1 Councilman Ashton Fowler was voted president pro-tem.
