SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The Sylacauga City Council will meet Tuesday night at Sylacauga City Hall.
A budget meeting will begin at 4:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 20, 2020, in the PD Training Room.
The council will hold a work session in the Faye Hosey Chambers at 5:00 with the meeting following shortly after.
- Public hearing regarding request from Justin Browning to close a portion of Herd Avenue in the Fairmont Subdivision (hearing set 9-1-20, Resolution 60-2020). Resolution 74-2020 required.
- Resolution 75-2020 to reject all bids received for TAPAA-TA18(914) Streetscape Improvements along SR-21 and TAPAA-TA19(914) Streetscape and ADA Improvements to the Parking Area between Norton Avenue and SR-21, and authorize re-bid of the project.
- Resolution 76-2020 to award Veteran’s Park Project to Clements Dean Building Co. with the low base bid price of $163,083.00 – bids opened October 14, 2020.
- Resolution authorizing agreement with EEFS for engineering fees for widening and resurfacing of James Payton Blvd (awaiting documents from Michael Rice).
- Application for 020 Restaurant Retail Liquor from Hui Zheng, owner of Tokyo Japanese Restaurant, Inc., DBA Tokyo Sushi Hibachi and Asian located at 41208 US Hwy 280 in Sylacauga.
- Approve registration fees in the amount of $199.00 each for CAPZO Recertification to be held via ZOOM at City Hall on October 29, 2020, for Doug Kemp, Mike Whetstone, Shannon Plexico, Nancy McKay, Lucille Anderson, Lawrence McGhee, Jim Heigl, Jon Hall, Amelia Wilson, Dr. Vinton Crawford, Kim Morris, and Carla Holliday.
- Approve registration fees in the amount of $636.00 each for CAPZO Training to be held via ZOOM at City Hall on October 28-29, 2020, for Jayne McGee and Kassey Epperson.
- Approve registration fees in the amount of $469.00 for CAPZO Training to be held via ZOOM at City Hall on October 28-29, 2020, for Phillip Morris.
- Additional invoices for FY20 Accounts Payable received after year-end close on September 30 in the amount of $87,555.96.
- Accounts payable received to date for FY21 in the amount of $136,920.75.
- Approval of September payroll.
Approximately 15 minutes after the work session, the council will have its meeting in the council chamber. Here is the proposed agenda:
