SYLACAUGA, Ala. –  Southern States Bank of Sylacauga is partnering with Chick-Fil-A this week to show appreciation to all first responders and military as we remember 9/11.

Nearly 200 meals will be delivered throughout South Talladega County this week.

“This started many years ago as a customer appreciation day and we have turned it into a veterans, military and first responders week,” said Southern States Bank collateral risk analyst Marty Garrett. “We just want to show our appreciation and take a moment to recognize them. COVID has given this a new look. This year, we are delivering meals throughout South Talladega County.

There are future plans to take care of volunteer first responders.
