MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Unemployment claims are being filed by the thousands in Alabama.
The Alabama Department of Public Labor said close to 17,000 people have filed claims related to COVID-19. Over 3 million claims have been filed nationwide.
Currently, 449 cases have been confirmed in state with one death recorded in Jackson Co.
