Russell Marine In-Water Boat Show: What you can expect this weekend

ALEXANDER CITY, Ala. – The Russell Marine In-Water Boat Show at the Ridge Marina on Lake Martin is the largest in-water boat show in the southeastern United States, and it is in your backyard for you to enjoy.

This year, Russell Marine Marketing Manager Emily Sprayberry says the show will be the largest the organization has ever hosted.

“This year we have more boats on land and in water than we’ve ever had,” the manager said. “We have over 80 boats on land and over 70 boats in the water.”

So what can you expect?

Obviously you can expects boats, boats and more boats, but these boats and personal water crafts are from the nation’s top brands. Russell Marine will have all the best boats featured including Sea Ray, Nautique, Godfrey Pontoon Boats, Sea-Doo, Supreme, Key West and more.

Over the 3-day event spanning from April 26-28, more to see, more boats to demo and more to win than ever before.

The Sea-Doo demo team will be onsite again this year with their demo course. Ride the 3-seater Trix or the GTX with 300 horsepower. The show will also be featuring the all new Fish Pro from Sea-Doo which is the first PWC built for fishing.

Family atmosphere and entertainment

Russell Marine In-Water Boat Show at the Ridge Marina on Lake Martin is more than a boat show. It is an event for the whole family featuring great food and live music.

Catherine’s Market will be serving up their famous barbecue and hand-dipped ice cream on Saturday and Sunday, and you can enjoy the sounds of the Steel Pan Band Saturday from 1–4pm and Sunday from 10am–2pm.

“This is great for families to get out, enjoy the lake and have something to do,” said Sprayberry. She said children will love the Zup Board.

RadioAlabama’s The Lake 105.1 WRFS will be live on location Saturday again this year with even more prizes! The crew will be onsite from 9am–1pm and will be hiding the famous yellow ducks again. If you pull a duck with a winning number, you will spin the wheel to find out what you win. But, this year, there will be some extra special ducks with a special marking—if you pull one of those ducks you will be eligible for the grand prize of $500! This will take place at 1:00 on Saturday, and you must be present to win.
