SYLACAUGA, Ala. – Multiple new businesses are opening in Sylacauga and the surrounding area. A few of them will be opening in downtown Sylacauga on Broadway Ave.

You have all seen the beautiful, white store front in the heart of Sylacauga’s downtown district being transformed over the last year from a vacant building to an elegant bridal store. McClendon Bridals, owned by Kim Windsor, will open in the former J.M. Duck Jeweler building that belonged to her father and Sylacauga icon, Joe Duck.

McClendon Bridals is already live online at McClendonBridals.com. It will hold a grand-opening celebration on Jan. 31.

Fresh Off Da Boat is a fresh seafood company opening on Hwy. 280 in Oak Grove. The business’ Facebook page says it will have fresh Gulf seafood daily. It opened for business on Thursday, and you will not want to miss the opening menu it posted on Facebook:

Also coming soon to Broadway Ave., Charcoal and Chocolate Restaurant and Bakery. Its social media will have you licking your lips. It will have everything from steak to cinnamon rolls and beyond. This restaurant will be located in the former Southern Plate building.
