USPS suspending regular mail delivery Wednesday in remembrance of President George H.W. Bush

SYLACAUGA, Ala. – The United States Postal Service will suspend regular mail delivery and retail service on Wednesday, Dec. 5.

In the wake of the 41st President of the United States death, President Trump Wednesday a a national day of mourning, calling for Americans to remember the contributions of former President George H.W. Bush.

To honor the life and legacy of President Bush, the Postal Service will observe the national day of mourning.

  • All Post Office locations will be closed.
  • Regular mail will not be delivered.
  • Package delivery will be limited.

President Bush passed away Friday, Nov. 30 at the age of 94.
